Formally established in 2004, the mission of BeerAppreciation LLC is to first educate people about the rich world of beer—its culture, styles, history, ingredients and stories. We teach Beer Appreciation Classes at local night schools and other venues, and on request for bars and restaurants. Our staff coordinates and leads beer tasting and beer dinner events, to share beer knowledge and enjoyment.
Our other primary goal is to promote the great local beer establishments in the Philadelphia region. These include world class local breweries (Yards, Manayunk, Victory, etc.) and fine craft beer oriented establishments (Teresa’s Next Door, Oakmont National Pub, TJ’s Everyday, Gullifty’s, etc.). We continue to be a valued resource for local beer enthusiasts, and help and support our local producers and hosts.

Beer Education for Beer Enthusiasts—Classes for the curious and the enthusiasts, people with an interest in beer and want to experience more. (Please refer to the Beer Education section of the site for more information about our classes at Main Line School Night, the Haverford Township Adult School and other local venues).
Beer Tasting Events —For charity, business or social events at commercial or private establishments for groups from 10 to 150. BeerAppreciation LLC can coordinate and host a custom event scaled for your group or audience. It’s an educational, fun and unique way to promote your business, network and socialize with your clients, alumni or donors.
Beer Dinners—BeerApprecation LLC’s beer experts create an enjoyable and educational beer dinner experience, share beer lore and pair beers with food to for a spectacular gastronomic experience at your home or favorite restaurant.
Beer Education for Bars and Restaurants —Classes and seminars for restaurant/bar wait staff, bartenders and managers. Quick overview of beer styles, flavors, types, food pairings to help better equip customer facing staff to cross sell better beer. Take aways include quick reference guide. BeerAppreciation can also create custom menu inserts or an entire beer menu for your selections.
