Who has the largest beer festival in the world? OK – Germany. But, who has the largest beer event in the USA? We do! That’s right, our own Philly Beer Week – brain child of Don Russell, Tom Peters and the other great folks at Philly Beer Week.org is the largest event of its kind in America. Only fitting for “America’s best beer drinking city” as we have the best beer, venues and breweries participating from June 4 – 13th.

Time to kick things off June 4 – with great events like the Opening Tap at the Independence Visitors Center. But, you don’t HAVE to head into town to participate in Philly Beer Week. There are plenty of events out here in the Philly burbs – including at BeerAppreciation’s favorite locations: The Oakmont National Pub, Gullifty’s, Teresa’s Next Door, TJ’s Everyday and the Flying Pig amongst other great local suburban venues. Check ’em out on the PhillyBeerWeek.org site – by venue, brewery, area and topic.

Also please check out my Philly Beer Week Page for my hosted events:

– Tuesday June 8th – Home Brew IPA Championship at the Oakmont Pub

– Thursday June 10th – Beer, Cheese, Coffee and Chocolate at Milkboy Coffee (Note: this is not a registered Philly Beer Week Event)

– Sunday June 13th – Yards Beer Dinner at the Oakmont

See you there, cheers! (PS: Take the Septa R5 and enjoy yourself safely)
